EMANZ is pleased to sponsor a series of awards to recognise the efforts of individuals and organisations involved in emergency management.
These awards are presented at the Annual Graduation Ceremony and also recognise the three finalists where applicable. Each Award is marked by the presentation of a Trophy and the achievement recorded on the EMANZ website (see below). All finalists receive a certificate to recognise their achievement.

Operational Excellence: Rescue Emergency Support Team (Palmerston North Civil Defence), for swiftwater and rope rescue operations

Operational Excellence
This award is awarded to an organisation or individual that has made an outstanding contribution to emergency management operationally for a specific emergency incident. The recipient individual or organisation is not required to be student or client of EMANZ.

Organisation of the Year
This award is for organisations that have a CDEM mandate and have participated in a Tai Poutini Polytechnic and/or EMANZ training programme to increase their CDEM capabilities and have demonstrated best practice in professional development.

Special Contribution
This award is presented to an organisation or individual that has made an outstanding contribution to emergency management. In 2009, this award replaces the former EMANZ Limited Chief Executive’s Award for Excellence. The recipient individual or organisation is not required to be student or client of EMANZ.

Student of the Year
This award is for a student studying emergency management with Tai Poutini Polytechnic and/or EMANZ who has excelled academically or practically and is deemed to be an exemplar student.

|
Training Coordinator of the Year
This award is for Training Coordinators from within our client organisations that have been responsible for the implementation of Tai Poutini Polytechnic and/or EMANZ programmes and have gone beyond the call of duty to ensure an effective programme is established or maintained.
